Welcome to Everything Indie Over 40, a nostalgia based community that celebrates a golden age of music and it’s enduring legacy.

When we say “everything indie” we mean “everything” because indie music means different things to different people. For some it’s post punk and C86 era jingle jangle or Madchester and Britpop. For others it’s industrial, shoegaze or even electronica. As far as we are concerned, indie music is whatever you want it to be.

Whether you saw My Jealous God support The Trashcan Sinatras at The Borderline in 1990 or was at Maine Road in 1996 to see Oasis, we hope there is something for everyone in our community.

We also hope this community provides you with an opportunity to be introduced to new musical experiences that you may have missed. How often have we heard “Can’t believe this band wasn’t on my radar back in the day!” among our online community?

We are not constrained by genres and embrace a wide ranging mix of musical styles from the old to the new.
